Art and the community
I love art. It seems a bit silly to word it like that, I guess, but I love it nonetheless. I’ve never been good at art, and perhaps if anything that’s added to my appreciation. I can do physics, and I can do math, and while I still have great respect for the (many) people that can do those things better than I can, art has always been a closed book to me (or perhaps a perpetually blank canvas).
So why am I rambling on about art? I’m excited to say that thinkalee is delving head first into the art scene here in Hespeler, and more generally in the Waterloo Region as a whole. Today we officially “moved in” to our new office space, though our furniture is currently mostly paint cans and various tools lying around. We’re excited about getting the space fixed up and having an art gallery put in, so if you’re a local artist (or you know of one), please feel free to contact us; we’d love to hear from you!
Hopefully we can collect a critical mass of artists in downtown Hespeler and see a trendy, modern art scene spring up right in our own backyards!

It was refreshing to read in yesterday’s Record about Thinkalee’s interest in promoting the arts, and that part of your beautiful stone-walled space in Hespeler will contain an art gallery. Your review of http://www.mcdonaldart.com would be appreciated. As you will see, I create high realism paintings in oil and watercolour, and my husband creates detailed sculptures. Some of my work is in Toronto’s Westmount Gallery. I believe your aspirations and my art would make a good fit.
